How it works
Time Zone Converter takes a date, a time, and the zone that time is in, then reads the same moment back on the clock of every zone you add. Each row shows the local time, the UTC offset in force on that date, the zone's own name in your language, and how far ahead or behind the source it sits. When a zone lands on a different calendar day, the row says so.
When to use this
Reach for it when a meeting, a deadline, or a departure crosses a border: scheduling a call between offices, working out when a launch window opens for a customer overseas, or checking whether a Tuesday deadline is still Tuesday for the person you sent it to. It is also the tool for the seasonal trap, where two cities are five hours apart one month and four the next.

Frequently asked questions
What time is it in Japan right now?
Press Now and add Asia/Tokyo. Japan is UTC+09:00 all year, because it does not observe daylight saving time, so it stays nine hours ahead of UTC in every season. From most of the United States that means the Japanese date is already tomorrow for much of the American working day.
Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Every conversion uses the offset the zone was actually on for the date you entered, not its offset today. Convert the same meeting in March and in July between London and New York and the gap changes from four hours to five, because the two places switch on different dates.
Why does the converted time land on a different day?
The world spans 26 hours of offsets, so at any moment two calendar dates are in use somewhere. When a converted time falls on a different date than the one you entered, the row is marked next day or previous day. That mark is the single most common source of scheduling mistakes.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, using the time zone database your browser already ships with. There is no request to send, nothing is stored, and there is no signup.
Which time zones can I convert between?
The picker opens on a curated list covering every UTC offset in use, by its best-known city, and Show all time zones expands it to the full IANA database your browser carries, around 400 zones. Offsets that are not whole hours are included either way: India is UTC+05:30, Nepal UTC+05:45, and the Chatham Islands UTC+12:45.
What is the difference between a UTC offset and a time zone?
An offset is a number, like UTC+09:00. A time zone is a place with a history of offsets, like Europe/Paris, which is UTC+01:00 in winter and UTC+02:00 in summer. Storing the zone rather than the offset is what lets a date convert correctly in both seasons.
